During the Middle Ages, from 13th to 16th century, Goth architecture took Europe by storm. They had detailed and captivating designs of art. The buildings were tall and spooky with spires, pointed arches, and tall windows. Apparently, a lot of churches these days look very similar to the fairy tales castles. Consequently, this inspired writers to develop dark and spooky scenes in literature in the late 1700s. As a result, a new genre of writing- Gothic fiction- emerged in the late 1700s. It is a blend of horror and dark romanticism.
Goths are people who wear clothes that look like they were made at home with basic supplies. The clothes are usually black, dark blue, or purple, with lots of ventilation. They might also wear other colors. The cloth is usually velvet, satin, silk, lace, and netting. Their hair is usually long and spiky, and they often wear black or burgundy nail polish. They like Doc Marten boots, new rocks shoes, military boots, big unisex boots, and high-heeled shoes. They sometimes have piercings in their ears, noses, tongues, and elsewhere. Accessories include chokers with spikes, belts with buckles and chains, occult jewelry including jewels set in metal posts or studs (usually silver), hats with tall brims and crowns on top of them (sometimes feathers too), and sometimes ruby stones set in silver rings.
